I didn't really care about a 1-2 dollar a month subscription, but what really kills me is the fact it doesn't even work very smoothly, I start the trial and the first thing I notice is both my internet and data are down.. it's still asking to re-enable notifications (it's enabled), and worst of all, the thing I'm told to copy-paste into my DNS what looks like a site? I don't understand if there is any part I might need to cut out or keep it full. This app functions like a glorified airplane mode

Great AP, works on all browsers, including news aps like Flipboard and it does it all the time, no matter what you are using. The messages from the ads just say it timed out. The past review seems like another App as this one is a no brainer. You can pick from different lists of ad-servers you want to block, but the standard one seems to work well enough. Be sure to add the drop down button that you can use to turn it off(it will add to buttons like location and such).

Failed to block ads on Duolingo, the only reason I downloaded it. Claims to block 'hundreds of trackers' every other hour, but won't show you any details about those trackers. Not what website their from, nor the type of tracker. App is a slick design at least, and offers a trial period that was painless to try. Might be worth it for general use browsing, but fails on the specific task I needed it for.
